Timberwolf Commute Challenge

Timberline PTSA is challenging our community to reduce the number of vehicles on the road during school commute times. All participating students & families will have a chance to win prizes while doing a good deed for the planet and our community.

Timmy the Timberwolf and his friends are finding ways get to school in environmentally-friendly ways. He and the Ella Baker Bear, Wilder Wolf, and Rosa Parks Puma are going to try out carpooling, walking, biking, and bussing too. Will you join them?

Why this challenge?

  • It’s good for the planet! Timberline is proud to be a Green School and having students walk, cycle, bus, or carpool helps us be kind to our environment.
  • Get to school on time! Long lines of cars in the morning make it difficult to be in class before the bell.
  • Lessen the impact of road construction and closures! One of our neighborhood’s main roads is going to be under construction for the next few months and traffic will be impacted. The more vehicles we can get off the road by having students carpool or take alternate forms of transportation, the better it will be for everyone.

At the end of each week, report in and tell us if you walked, biked, carpooled, or rode the bus to or from school for AT LEAST 6 one-way trips. Every week that you commute in a sustainable way, you will earn an entry to a monthly prize drawing! Prizes have been generously donated by Mod Pizza, Vertex Arena, King County, and more!
